The West Ryde Social Club

Table Setting

The Social Club provides a chance for people with Huntington's Disease to get together regularly to enjoy company and leisure activities.

The Social Club meets fortnightly on Tuesdays between 10.30 AM and 2.30 PM at Elsie Court Cottage at West Ryde. The dates for the remainder of 2010 are:

June 15th; 29th
July TBC (School Holidays); 20th
August 3rd; 17th; 31st
September 14th; 28th
October TBC (School Holidays)
November 2nd; 16th; 30th
December 14th (Xmas party)

The Social Club is for those in the earlier stages, and involves some outside excursions such as museum visits, picnics, ten-pin bowling etc.

Participants need to be able to arrange their own transport to the venue.

Eligibility

To be eligible to join either Social Club you must be able to travel independently on public transport such as trains and buses and not on a modified diet. You must also complete a personal health history form and provide contact details for both yourself and at least 2 persons ("next of kin") who can be contacted on your behalf in an emergency.

You must tell us if you have dietary exclusions (e.g. if you are a vegetarian or require a diabetic diet).
